rooms was a two-person show held by Anna Mészáros and myself at AgvA-CIAT in September and October 2026.
For this exhibition I presented a 2.14 x 2.04-metres handmade quilt, two oil paintings (25.5 x 21 cm, and 25.3 x 21 cm) and pages from my second book currently in writing.
The objects reflect a big life change in tangential, symbolic and sometimes more overt ways.
These include references to earthquake and tornado drills, the creation of a song’s lyrics, social media posts about David Lynch’s house, the birth of freestyle skateboarding, poems, wind as a storytelling device, Dorothy’s red shoes, a Reiki session, film script dialogue, Miranda July’s estate sale, a tarot session, a recurring dream, in-jokes, a Shaker embroidered location device, and psychogeographic wanderings.
